Bliss Comedy is returning to Liberty Bell Coffee on 11 September, with a line-up that includes a star from Edinburgh Fringe after a summer break.
Bliss Comedy is a Wirral-based comedy club which was founded in 2024 by comedian and podcaster Mary Cross. Headlining is comedian Stephanie Bradshaw, whose solo show Big Fish debuted to sell-out audiences at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Bradshaw has also been heard on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Cumbria.
The supporting line-up includes So You Think You're Funny semi-finalist Jon G, Funny Women semi-finalist Jo Owen, comedian and Instagram sensation Amy Nic, local singer and comedian Jake Hawkes, and Ash Clark making their debut as a named act on a comedy bill. The night will be hosted by the club's founder.
Cross said: "I can't wait to get back to our nights at Liberty Bell after the summer break. We consistently receive five-star reviews for every night we host, and it's wonderful to see our regulars coming back to support the gigs.
Cross continued, saying she is booking newer performers who have performed at Bliss Comedy Club's open mic events. She also said she always receives "great feedback from the audience and comedians" on the club's gigs.
Bliss sticks out as a comedy club because it aims to create inclusive comedy nights with diverse comedians for those who may not be comfortable in normal comedy clubs.
