A maritime and engineering jobs fair is returning to Birkenhead this week with over 20 employers confirmed to attend.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, the event was organised by the council in collaboration with Mersey Maritime. It will take place at the Pyramids Shopping Centre on September 16, from 11:30 am to 2 pm.
Support organisations, employers, and training providers will be there. Residents will be able to explore vacancies, apprenticeships and career pathways in the maritime and engineering sectors.
Confirmed employers include Bibby Marine, Briggs Marine, the British Army, Balaena Birkenhead, Denholm Industrial and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
Wirral Met College and Mersey Maritime will also be present with information on training opportunities.
The fair is part of the council's work for job fair programmes funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The event is open to everyone of all ages and educational backgrounds.
A pre-bookable quiet hour is available between 10:30 am and 11:30 am for those who prefer a calmer environment. Appointments can be booked by emailing economicgrowthservice@wirral.gov.uk.
The event is taking place opposite River Island in the shopping centre. Visitors can register in advance or drop in on the day.
