A charity music festival is returning to the Wirral this summer, with two days of live performances to support Claire House Children's Hospice.
The cutely named Glastonferry Festival - wordplay on the huge Glastonberry Festival - will take place at Eastham Ferry Hotel and The Eastham Ferry Tap in Eastham Country Park over the August bank holiday weekend, according to the Wirral Globe. It will be running from 12 pm to 7 pm.
16 local acts will perform across the two-day slot, which will also feature family-friendly entertainment with face painting, games, and a magician, if you like magic. Food and drink will be served across the festival, and an exciting charity raffle will offer prizes and a chance to support Claire House.
Chris Locke, the festival's organiser from the very start, said they have a "very special line-up" for the 2026 festival. He's organised the festival since 2011.
He hinted that the festival has some top artists on the agenda for this year, and that this year's event will also be "incredible".
While entry is free, attendees are encouraged to donate in support of Claire House, which provides care for seriously and terminally ill children and their families. The Wirral-based hospice is well-known for its charity events, with the Great North Run coming up in September, as well as the September Skydive.
Free tickets for the festival are available now through Eventbrite.
