Finding the best coffee shops in Moreton and Upton means discovering a mix of independent cafés, community hubs, and specialist venues that have become genuine local favourites. Whether you're after expertly crafted flat whites, homemade cakes, or somewhere to grab a unique special, this corner of the Wirral delivers plenty of options worth exploring.

1. Bake My Day

Situated right in the heart of Upton Village, just over the road from The Bank Village Youth Project and St Mary's Church, this café has become renowned across the peninsula. The café has three main menus: Lunch and Light Bites, Breakfast, and Drinks. The café changes its specials board each day, and they emphasise that their main speciality is cakes.

Prices are considered highly reasonable, with a full-size Bake My Day Breakfast costing £8.50.

Their coffee is made by local roasters Adams and Russell, with trained baristas preparing everything from lattes and cappuccinos to flat whites and iced coffees. The real draw, however, is the cakes – owner Robin is described as a talented patisserie chef, as there is on the Wirral. It is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and from 9 am to the same time on Saturday.

2. On the Corner

Located on Ford Road, On The Corner is another cafe in the heart of Upton Village. They are a walk-in cafe which is dog-friendly, and serve teas, coffees, smoothies, as well as a range of breakfast dishes with a twist, such as a yummy Greek Yoghurt Sundae and a Steak Florentine. On The Corner offers a unique experience for customers, also offering wine and cheese options as nibbles, and a regular Supper Club where the cuisine changes.

The quality is consistently amazing. Booking is essential for Sunday lunch to ensure availability. It is open from 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday.

3. Fiore - Café Bistro

Fiore is a cafe on Hoylake Road in Upton which specialises in all things dessert and pink. Everything in the cafe feels indulgent and pretty, with a bistro-like feel. This cafe and bistro serves everything from coffees to milkshakes to standard breakfasts, paninis, sandwiches, and pizzas. The list is never-ending, but what they are known for is their baklava and cakes. Fiore is open from Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday.

4. BistroS

They are open from 9 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturday, and 9 am to 8 pm on Sunday.
