Wirral Ark wants local children to get creative in their new Christmas colouring competition.
The competition is part of their Ted Without a Bed campaign, a campaign which was launched to educate children about the topic of homelessness, as reported by the Wirral Globe.
What the charity wants children to do in this case is to design a Christmas jumper for the charity's mascot, Arky Bear. If you don't know, he's the teddy bear who is the subject of the charity's Ted Without a Bed book.
Wirral primary schools have been given a copy of the book, as well as their own Arky teddy bear.
The charity previously ran a Teddy Bear picnic opportunity at the end of the school year.
The competition closes on 6 November for entries. Winners will be announced from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage, as well as Year 7 and 8 in local secondary schools.
Winners will get their very own Arky bear wearing their jumper design, as well as a Ted Without a Bed book.
Rachel Murdock, development manager at Wirral Ark, said in a statement: "It's been wonderful to get Ted Without a Bed into schools across Wirral and to see Arky begin his journey helping children learn about homelessness and the importance of looking out for one another.
"Now Ted doesn't want to feel left out at Christmas. We're inviting children to get creative and design him a Christmas jumper of his own.
"We're really looking forward to seeing the colourful, imaginative designs the children come up with, and we hope the competition will be a fun way to keep the conversations about kindness and compassion going."
