Wallasey has proudly been named one of the fast-growing seaside towns in Britain, according to a Wirral Globe article.

Rightmove ranked Wallasey as the sixth fastest growing seaside location, with the average house price rising by 7 percent in the last year. The average asking price in the town is now £200,753.

A few other Merseyside locations have also seen record growth. Birkenhead was ranked as the seventh cheapest seaside town to buy a property in all of the UK, with an average asking price of £148,942.

While Wallasey's desirability and property value have increased, Bootle came out on top of all Merseyside locations mentioned by the property website, ranking first among towns for the highest year-on-year house price growth.

Asking prices in Bootle rose by a staggering eleven percent up to £141,680, while simultaneously remaining one of the cheapest seaside housing markets.

Crosby followed closely behind in second, with prices increasing by 9% each year to £330,900.

The rankings show intense growth for Merseyside seaside locations and similar coastal towns in general, despite housing prices on average decreasing by 0.3 percent in the UK in the past year.

Colleen Babcock, a property expert at Rightmove, said in a statement: "The fastest-growing seaside markets this year show that demand for coastal homes remains resilient, even as overall price growth across the UK stays more modest."

She continued, "While some locations are seeing strong price increases, there are still many areas where living by the sea is more affordable.”
