A showcase highlighting day services available across Wirral is set to take place in New Brighton next week.

The event will be held at the Floral Pavilion on Marine Promenade on Thursday, June 11, and aims to bring together service providers, support workers, and members of the local community.

The morning session will run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and will give visitors a chance to learn more about services for people with learning difficulties. Staff will be around to support anyone searching for information and guidance.

Visitors can even meet community groups and other organisations that deliver support across the area.

For people thinking of attending, the morning event is important as it will include accounts from young people who use the service, and local councillors are expected to attend.

A later afternoon session from 1:30 to 3:30 will focus on interactive elements such as workshops and discussions with local organisations that provide care.

New Brighton residents are being encouraged to educate themselves on the services and share their feedback on how they can be improved. And nobody will go hungry, as there are refreshments available throughout the day.

For New Brighton, the showcase comes at a crucial time as day services across the Wirral continue to be reviewed. The showcase will shed new light on the support available in the area and start conversations about future improvements to the services.
