A Heswall veterinary practice has been crowned the best in the country for the second year running. The prestigious veterinary practice received more than 1,000 positive reviews, according to Birkenhead News.
The practice in question is Sanderson Vet in Pensby on Pensby Road. The independent vet received the coveted Best UK Vet 2026 title at the BestUKVets Awards ceremony.
It joins a few other practices that have won the award twice. Cockburn Veterinary Group in Coalville secured wins in 2021 and 2022.
The awards, now in their 13th year and powered by VetHelpDirect, determine winners solely by the number of 4 and 5-star reviews left by clients online. The practice is also accredited as a veterinary hospital in recognition of its high clinical standards.
Owner and vet Richard Sanderson said in a statement: "Seeing our team get the recognition they deserve for a second time is amazing. We never expected to receive such an honour, and to know that this is based on client reviews makes it all the more special for everyone involved."
He added, "To see over 1,000 clients take time to tell us how we do every day shows they love the practice as much as we do, and makes our sacrifices worth it. To be the best vet out of thousands of applicants two years running makes me so proud of my team."
According to their website, Sanderson Vet was founded in 2016 and works in "offering the highest standards of patient and client care". The vet has highly rated facilities, including CT, endoscopy, and arthroscopy operating suites, as well as an in-house laboratory.
