A Wirral motorist has been banned from driving after testing positive for cocaine.
Warren Trueman, 42, of North Brooke Way, Woodchurch, appeared at Wirral Magistrates' Court on September 21. He pleaded guilty to driving with a specified drug above the limit.
As reported by the Wirral Globe, the court heard that Trueman was driving on Wallasey Bridge Road on 22 December 2025 when he tested positive for benzoylecgonine, which is the main breakdown product of cocaine.
Trueman's reading said he had 158 micrograms per litre of blood in his system. The legal limit is 50 micrograms.
He was disqualified from driving for a year and fined £120. Magistrates also ordered Trueman to pay £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £48.
