Moreton restaurant Bamboo Thai is to open a new branch in West Kirby.
The eatery, which until recently operated a food franchise at the White Lion pub on Grange Road, hopes to open in June.
Bamboo Thai is owned and operated by Wirral couple Dave and Sawarot Otter.
Their Moreton branch has been open since 2021, serving a menu which is a fusion of street food from Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
Rumours had been rife for some time that they were planning to open a venue in the town.
They are taking over a unit on Dee Lane which was formerly Lattetude and previously Sands cafe. Many local residents also have fond memories of visiting it from 1964 - 1993 when it was Tottey's ice cream shop.
Dave told West Kirby Today: "We’re really excited to have the opportunity to be opening Bamboo Cafe, Bar and Restaurant which will feature our very popular take on Thai, Vietnamese and Laos street food (plus a few surprises) to West Kirby.
"We will also be offering teas, coffees and a wide range of international breakfasts and lunches from our jungle-inspired cafe.”
