Network Rail is to carry out overnight work between West Kirby and Bidston from next month.
A letter has been sent to residents living next to the line outlining details of the work, which will take place from midnight until 5am on weekdays from Monday 1 June until Friday 7 August.
It will see trees, shrubs and other vegetation cut back, along with the installation of new troughing units which are used to carry lineside cables.
The company says that hand trolleys, power tools, plant machinery and lights will be used for the work.
The letter adds: "Because of the nature of the work and the machinery we use, some noise is to be expected...our teams will do all they can to keep this to a minimum where possible."
