A hit children's theatre show based on Tom Fletcher's bestselling books is coming to New Brighton's Floral Pavilion for two performances on 3 November.
There's a Monster in Your Show, adapted from Fletcher's Who's in Your Book? series, and produced by MEI Theatrical, will play at 2pm and 4:30pm. The 50-minute interactive production is aimed at young children and their families.
The show centres around a group of performers who discover they've got company on stage, when Little Monster decides he wants to join in. He invites his friends Dragon, Alien and Unicorn along, promising comedy and chaos as they help create a magical show about books and friendship.
Fletcher, 41, who is best known for being one of McFly's lead vocalists, has seen his shown across multiple tours, now on its sixth. Currently, There's a Monster in Your Show has been seen by over 115,000 children across 120 venues since its launch in October 2023.
On the show, Mr Fletcher said: "For me, There's a Monster in Your Show is the perfect first theatre experience for little ones. I know taking kids to the theatre can be a bit daunting – but this show is made with young families in mind."
He described the show as "interactive, noisy in all the best ways", with children encouraged to participate during the show.
The production features original music written by Fletcher and Barrie Bignold, with the show adapted for stage by Zoe Bourn. It is directed by Miranda Larson, who previously adapted Fletcher's The Christmasaurus for the stage.
