A man walking his four dogs had to be rescued by the Hoylake RNLI hovercraft today after getting cut off by by the rising tide on a sandbank off Meols. The man was walking on the far side of a gully which was rapidly filling with water on this afternoon&
Science fiction author Pam Bloom, from Meols has spoken about the challenges posed by self-publishing as she prepares to launch her second book. Pam Bloom’s first novel, Whole New World[s], was published in July as an ebook through Amazon. She has recently also released it in paperback
Drivers in Hoylake and Meols face delays next week thanks to planned water mains cleaning works at three different sites on Birkenhead Road and Market Street. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation, and Wirral council is forecasting that “slight” delays will be caused, as workmen air-scour the mains.
